Ready To Burn
The Government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) appointed HETAS and Woodsure to run the Ready to Burn fuel certification scheme.
The scheme makes it easy for people to find the cleanest fuels for burning at home. Using fuels that are approved and labelled as Ready to Burn also means it’s easy to comply with Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuels Standards) (England) Regulations 2020 that outlaw the sale of wet wood and housecoal, which are the most polluting fuels.
Locally Sourced Timber
All of our firewood comes from British woodland, managed with long-term sustainability in mind. By sourcing locally, we support responsible forestry practices that ensure woodlands are carefully maintained, replanted and protected for the future.
Keeping our supply chain local also means fewer transport miles, helping to reduce emissions compared to imported firewood.
We process the timber ourselves, giving us full control over quality and consistency. This also allows us to minimise waste, handle materials responsibly, and ensure every log meets the standards we expect before it reaches you.

Kiln Dried for Cleaner Burning
All of our logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of 20% or below. This is a key part of sustainable burning.
Dry logs burn more efficiently, producing more heat with less fuel. They also generate less smoke and reduce the build-up of soot and tar, which can affect both air quality and the performance of your stove.
In short, better logs mean a better burn - for you and for the environment.
We are a certified supplier under the Ready to Burn scheme, meaning our firewood meets recognised UK standards for moisture content and quality.
This certification gives you confidence that the logs you’re using are suitable for immediate use and compliant with current regulations around cleaner domestic burning.
